Hello,
I teach at a small rural school in northern BC. We get severe winter conditions. My school is two portables in a parking lot....no gym, no staffroom, no office, etc. District budget cuts may result in my school loosing the second portable. I have 22 students from K to 7. Anyone else facing working conditions that are becoming as unreasonable as what small rural schools in the north are facing?

Hi, H. Wight,
Wow! Unreasonable conditions is an understatement. Do you have any other support? One of our PSA members taught in Holberg in similar conditions, not quite as severe in Winter, but I'm sure she would be happy to share ideas with you, if you like. Take care.

However, between meetings the Lottie Blog can help overcome the challenges, high travel costs and time constraints that still exist today, to share professional and social support.
